What is Hike Tab Builder?
Hike FREE Tab Builder is a free Facebook application for fan page admins who care about their visitors and fans and want to engage them with more than what the average Fan Page has to offer.After weeks of concepting, drafting sketches, tweaking designs, pushing pixels, writing code, no sleep, living in the dark, depending on energy drinks, disappointing the girlfriend and naming the Mac as your only friend, we have finally reached the point at which we can consider “Project Tab Builder” DONE! … Well, at least for the time being, as we are already working on the next set of updates. Anyway, all existing Tab Builder users (of version 1.0, previously known as FREE iFrame Tab Builder) were part of a seamless transition from version 1.0 to version 2.0. If you haven’t done yet, simply log back into the admin area and you will notice the updated interface and additional features. For all those who can’t wait to get their hands on Tab Builder for the first time, feel free to install it in your Fan Page right now.
What’s New in Version 2.0?
A quick introduction of the features of Hike FREE Tab Builder version 2.0:New User Interface
As designers we want our work to look good and also to make sense. Every element on the screen should please the eye, yet interfaces aren’t just art objects though – they have work to do. With the updated Tab Builder interface we strive to provide you with an intuitive way of easily setting up your Fan Page, starting with the tabbed navigation that lets you quickly access our pro features and review your account status.
Hike Fan Gating Plus+
We have put a lot of thought into how basic Fan Gating could be optimized. Besides the ability to manually add the Like Button – all three styles available – into your tab, you are also able to position it pixel perfect now. In addition to that you can select a transition effect for the onclick event. Simple page reload is the standard mechanism used by other apps. Hike Tab Builder offers a neat Fan Gate slide and fade effect for free.
11 New Icons
So far there has only been one standard icon which could be used five times in a Fan Page. We have responded to your feedback and are happy to provide you with 11 extra icons for a total of 16 available tabs. The icons can be found on our Fan Page or in the app’s Edit Mode (see the footer there).
Edit Tab Name / Set Default Tab
This function is now highly visible in the app’s footer right below the “Save & View” button. That way you gain instant access to these important features.

Still want more? We HAVE got more for you! For a rate based on your Fan Page’s like count you can instantly get your hands on Tab Builder PRO.
