How the World Wide Web is evolving WEB 1.0 to WEB 2.0 to WEB 3.0

How the World Wide Web is evolving WEB 1.0 to WEB 2.0 to WEB 3.0:
WEB 2.0

This article explains the life cycle of the Web when it first begin with WEB 1.0 then evolved to WEB 2.0 and is now expecting the arrival of WEB 3.0.

The first Web: WEB 1.0

The amazing thing about WEB 1.0 was that all of a sudden everything was available online. Information was easily accessible, you were able to get it on your own terms when you wanted it. It was pertinent and instantaneous at the same time. So the notion that there was only one way to deliver and access information got blown up. Space and time fundamentally changed.
However the main reason that a change was expected and required is that WEB 1.0 was too 1-dimensional.

Have you heard the term WEB 2.0?

It is one of the biggest buzzwords and concepts on the web in modern day.
If you are not familiar it just refers to the new generation of more interactive websites with user submitted and user controlled content.

Why is WEB 2.0 important to you?

Simple, Understanding WEB 2.0 technology allows you to leverage it to your advantage.
WEB 2.0 sites can be a source of endless targeted free traffic when used correctly

Tim O’Reilly on what is Web 2.0

WEB 2.0 is the understanding that the network is the platform. On the network is the platform the rules for businesses are different. The cardinal rule is users add value and figuring out how to build databases that get better the more people use them is actually the secret sauce of every WEB 2.0 company.
WEB 2.0 made the Web 3-dimensional because all of a sudden a component of interactively was added and the customer is in charge and open systems beat close systems. It is basically participatory, interactive, open communication dialogue, real time, and personal participation in the life of information creation sharing evaluation. So for example you took something that exploded time space and add another dimension.

WEB 3.0 and the future of the Web

We are waiting to see what awaits us with WEB 3.0 in the future. Web 3.0  will probably focus on dramatically improving the functionality and usability of search engines. Some say the Web develops a brain and can predict what it believes you will search for and will display you the information you are looking for without even searching for it or knowing that you need to search for it.
All these are theories let us wait and see.
